Buying a ticket for a child or family member without an email address? You can now create a family account within your profile so that each ticket may be assigned to a unique profile, even for people without a Howler profile of their own.

A family account can only be created when you are purchasing a ticket. Once the ticket purchase process is complete, you cannot create a family account for a ticket later. Do not select "assign later" for a ticket that will need to be within family account.
All profile questions required for the event must be completed when creating a new family account.
A family account may only be accessed through the profile that it was created within and cannot be shared outside of that profile.

Create a Family Account

  1. When purchasing a ticket for a family member without an email address or Howler profile, when you are prompted to assign your ticket to the ticke holder, select the "Family Account" option.
  2. Select "New Recipient" and complete the required profile information.

  1. This ticket will now display within your Family Account.

Assign to an existing Family Account

You can assign a ticket to an existing managed account that may have been created for a previous event.

  1. When purchasing a ticket for a family member without an email address or Howler profile, when you are prompted to assign your ticket to the ticke holder, select the "Family Account" option.
  2. Select "Existing Recipient", select the account you'd like to assign this to and complete any additional required profile information.

  1. This ticket will now display within your Family Account.

Access a Family Ticket

You can access tickets within your Family Account in your normal ticket wallet.

  1. Login to howler.co.za and navigate to the "tickets" tab.
  2. Your tickets as well as the tickets within your Family Account will display here.
  3. The tickets within your Family Account will have the name of the Family account on it.

View and Edit Family Accounts

As a manager of a Family Account, you can edit and view the details of your Family Account.

  1. Login to howler.co.za and navigate to the "Account" option within the profile icon.
  2. Within your account settings, your Family Accounts will be listed on the left panel.
  3. Select the Family Account that you'd like to view or edit the details of to open the account information.

Family Accounts and Teams

A Family Account cannot be a Team Admin

The account manager of a Family Account can perform teams actions on the managed tickets such as remove a managed ticket from a team, join a team or change the start time.

  1. Login to howler.co.za and navigate to the "tickets" tab
  2. Identify your managed ticket. It should have the name of the Family Account on the ticket.
  3. Select the 3 dots on the ticket and select the action you'd like to perform.
