For an overview of Active Admin, please refer to this Help Doc.
Within Active Admin, you'll be able to add Reps and Rep Managers individually and add reps with a bulk, csv upload.
Add reps or rep managers
- Within your event on Active Admin, Navigate to the "Manage Event Roles" tab on the right-hand side, within the "People" box.
- Here, you'll be able to add an email address and select a role that will be allocated to that user.
- Your rep or rep manager will receive an invitation email to accept and give them access to their Rep Dashboard.
They will now be able to sell tickets and track commission.
You'll be able to access your rep report, including all sales and commission within the "overview" tab on the organiser portal.
Bulk Upload Reps
If you have multiple reps that you would like to assign to your event at once, you can do this with a .csv upload.
How to create the csv.
- Create a new excel sheet
- Give the first 3 rows the headings "email", "firstname" and "lastname"
- Fill in the names and email addresses of your reps
- Save the file as a csv.
Import your csv
Now that youe CSV is ready, you can import this data into Active Admin.
- Within your event on Active Admin, Navigate to the "import Reps" tab on the right-hand side, within the "People" box.
- Select "Choose File" and browse to find your csv file.
- Select "Update Event"
You'll be redirected to your event page with a success message informing that you'll receive an email once your import is complete.
Your reps will receive an invitation to setup their rep dashoard.
Add Rep Commission
You can allocate the amount of commission allocated to a Rep per ticket sold.
- Navigate to your event within Active Admin
- Select the "ticket types" button within the "tickets & registration" box.
- Select "edit" on the ticket type you'd like to add commission to.
- Enter the commission amount in the "commission (ZAR)" field. This is a rand value of commission per ticket sold and not a percentage of the ticket price.
- Scroll to the bottom to select "Update ticket type" to save your changes.
The commission will now be recorded per ticket sold within the rep dashboard as well as your Organiser Portal Rep report.
